EverQuest II is a 3D fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), based on EverQuest, and shipped on 4 November 2004. It features updated graphics and different game play from its predecessor. Also is the epitome of massively multiplayer gaming the ultimate blend of deep features, heritage, and community. EverQuest II is set on the fictional world of Norrath five hundred years after the Planes of Power storyline of the original EverQuest game. The gods withdrew from the world in retaliation for mortal incursions into their planes.
Immerse yourself in the game's exciting locales, mysterious lands, and intense battles. Within EverQuest II, each player creates a character to interact in the 3-D fictional world of Norrath. Within the game, the character can adventure (complete quests, explore the world, kill monsters and gain treasures and experience) and socialize with other players with EQ2 Gold. The game also has a 'trade skill' system that allows players to create items for in-game use.
